Hey

Hiya!

How is everyone? Looks like the NYC ladies are living it up...Jacks its nice to have you back on the East Coast, hopefully we can get together soon!

I just got back from Chicago...had a great time! It was my first time in the Windy City and I absolutely loved it. Not sure if it was because the male to female ratio seemed to be about 8:1 or if the fact that the city has a beach right in the middle of it, but it was a great time!
I also had my first slice of deep dish pizza and got to go to Wrigley Field, which are both things I have wanted to do for some time now.

I hope everyone is doing well. MISS YOU!

PS. Lee, talk to me about this pool of yours :)

Is there anybody out there...other than Jags????

I'm with Jags, Come on Ladies!!! Where are the details?????

Let's see...Lina...the name is a very funny, stupid story. So Steve and I went to Canyon Ranch in the winter and they have these wild boars there called Javelinas...I thought they were really cute and really really wanted one. So I kept bugging Steve about getting one...in a playful way, obviously, we were not going to acquire a wild boar.

So when we got the dog, we first thought we'd call her Jave but that sounded like a Latino drug dealer and it wasn't feminine so we went with Lina (i dotted with a heart, of course). The name on her certificate will say Jave Lina Cohen Ross of New Brunswick NJ (I think because I have such a short name, I wanted her to have a long name) but we're calling her Lina. We go for visit two this weekend and then get her next Friday! YEY!!!! We have an extra bedroom so I expect visitors!!!!

Went to the Hamptons this weekend and had a blast! We're doing a mini-share in this awesome house so it was really fun.

And we started talking about the wedding! :) so it looks like we'll get married either Fall or Winter of 2008/2009. Most likely, the ceremony will be in Israel in this hotel looking over the Med Sea in Tel Aviv (all are welcome, but I completely understand financial restrictions) but then we're going to have a BLOWOUT party in either nyc or vegas - no ceremony just a huge bash. Obviously, I'll keep you posted as plans start to actually be made...we're in state -1 :)

OK, got to get back to work. I miss you and love you all!!!!!

Introducing LINA!!!!

Guys -
I'm SO excited that you are excited to blog! This is so fun! Also, if people make recommendations on something/anything, now it's easy to search for them!

So we got a DOGGIE!!!!!! A little Yorkie! She'll be a little bigger than Udi (about 7 pounds) which is good bec. the larger ones tend to do better with kids - which is NOT on the horizon for anytime in the near future but something we had to think about since she'll be with us for at least 12 -15 years.

Anyways, she's a DOLL! She is so cute and soft and she peed on the wee-wee pad twice! Yippie! No following in her uncle's (Udi's) footsteps and peeing all over the house! So she's only 9 weeks old and so we get her in 3 weeks! Tals, don't get too excited, we can't bring her to CA :( she can't leave the house until week 16...shot issue.

Anyways, needless to say we are super excited and are in the process of puppy-proofing our house (she already started biting one of my shoes and was told "Mommy's shoes are off limits little girl...but you can chew up daddy's shoes all you want" :)

Fran, we did try to rescue but wanted a yorkie pup which made it basically impossible :( and Congrats to Billy!

Anways, I can't wait for you guys to meet her!

Sarah - we'd love to join you at any beach...let me think of some ideas.

Amy and Tals - see you both in a month

Jackie - When do you get to NYC????

Sandy - hope to see you next weekend!

Love you and miss you all!!!!

EXHAUSTED!!!!!

Hey Girls!!

lee, what a great idea! Thanks for putting this together.

I have very little to say other than I'm EXHAUSTED!!! I worked from approx 7:30am to 1am 3 days last week! Then had to go in at 5am on friday as I knew I had no choice but to leave at 7pm to start my weekend as a parent!

I nearly had a breakdown on friday- I was just too exhausted, pulled in way too many directions, and felt I was drowning in work.... And to top it off I sort of f-ed up on something. Someone sent me an email on thursday to contact one of our investors (this is NOT one of my responsibilites)... long story short, the email was a few paragraphs asking me to do several things. Somehow i responded to everthing, but missed the last line where I was casually asked to make a quick call (who knew it was in regards to 10.8 million dollars)! anyway, I didn't call, and we didn't get the money on friday.... I thought i was going to have a heart-attack but my boss was so incredible and calm about it!

This weekend was a nice and much needed break from work- I've been watching the greatest 5 yr old in the world- we went to the Zoo, FAO schwartz- (sarah- we went there together sophomore year!), Mars, got manicures.... gosh, i wish i could be a kid again.

Anyway, I miss you all and love you so much!

I'm so sad i had to miss girls weekend last week, but we'll hae to catch up soon....

Ok, gotta go... still with katherine!

Love you girls.
Sandy

frannie...

it doesn't look ugly...don't worry :)

HEY

Hey ladies!

Lee, thanks so much for getting this started, I am excited, I have never blogged before!

I am glad to hear that things are going so well with work and Steve.

Any chance anyone knows of a beach house on the Jersey/DE/MD shore? I am looking to spend a weekend by the shore (not in RI) in July...let me know if you are interested...that would be amazing!

Things in DC are great, minus the fact that the last two weeks have been absolutely insane with work (Sandy I am sure you can relate) and that I threw out my back and have been doped up on pain killers and muscle relaxers all week. It has been the worst pain I have ever felt...I was in so much pain on Tuesday I felt naseaus...it was actually quite scary.

The best part of the past two weeks was that I did get to see Amers and Frannie, which was terrific! (Amers, 2 people just got shot this morning in Shana's neighborhood...glad she is on her honeymoon!) Frannie, have so much fun in Beantown and at Bill's wedding...I owe you a visit...get that spare room ready for me!

The summer is my busiest season at work, although its all good since I love it!
I havent been home to RI since Thanksgiving. Needless to say, I am super homesick and am going to try to head up there in August.

I am going to Chicago for the first time ever in a few weeks and cannot wait. Going to a cubs game and hoping to just tour the city and oh yeah, check out the men, since I AM newly single and might just be on the market to move...you never know :)

Other than that things are good. I have a relaxing weekend ahead...where I am going to mend my weary back by the pool and oh yeah, i am substitute teaching sunday school as well...which always promises to be entertaining!

I hope you are all are well and miss you tons.

I also hope that we can all sit down on a regular basis and spend 5 minutes writing to each other...i cant speak for the rest of you but it would mean a lot to me.

As Rev. Run says, "G-d is love"

Peace, Im out. :)
